How to check and renew the license

The license banner shows your current state; renewing restores full access after a lapse.

1. Read the banner for the state (valid, grace, or lapsed), the type (trial or paid), and days remaining.
2. If lapsed, you can still read everything; only new writes are held.
3. As an admin, apply a signed renewal token to move to paid or extend.
4. Full access is restored as soon as a valid token is applied.
